 BEFORE YOUR SURGERY

• Complete your admission forms 

• Contact your health fund to confirm your cover
  (We will only do your check no earlier than 48 hours prior to surgery)

• Ask your doctor about your current medications and what to take/ stop taking
  before and during your hospital stay
   

• You will be sent 2 automated SMSs prior to your surgery
  -The first SMS is a prompt to complete your admission forms
  -The second SMS is sent the day before your surgery. Which includes all relevant reminders, any out of pockets, and our location

PRIOR TO YOUR ADMISSION

• Shower and refrain from using deodorant, perfume, moisturiser, and make up 

• Abstain from food and drink in the preceding 6 hours, unless otherwise advised by your doctor (this is a guide only and you should obtain official fasting instructions from your surgeon and/ or anaesthetist prior to your admission)
   

• Wear comfortable, loose-fitted clothing

• If you're having a general anaesthetic or neurolept anaesthetic, please arrange for someone to drive you or accompany you home in a taxi, and have a responsible adult stay with you overnight

WHAT TO BRING

• Correspondence from your doctor(s)

• Past medical history from your GP

• List of your current medications and dosage information

• X-rays and test results relevant to your procedure
