BEFORE YOUR SURGERY

Complete your admission forms

Contact your health fund to confirm your cover
(We will only do your check no earlier than 48 hours prior to surgery) -
Ask your doctor about your current medications and what to take/ stop taking
before and during your hospital stay

You will be sent 2 automated SMSs prior to your surgery
-The first SMS is a prompt to complete your admission forms
-The second SMS is sent the day before your surgery. Which includes all relevant reminders, any out of pockets, and our location
PRIOR TO YOUR ADMISSION

Shower and refrain from using deodorant, perfume, moisturiser, and make up

Abstain from food and drink in the preceding 6 hours, unless otherwise advised by your doctor (this is a guide only and you should obtain official fasting instructions from your surgeon and/ or anaesthetist prior to your admission)

Wear comfortable, loose-fitted clothing

If you're having a general anaesthetic or neurolept anaesthetic, please arrange for someone to drive you or accompany you home in a taxi, and have a responsible adult stay with you overnight
